It May Be Small Frequent Posts But They Leave a BIG IMPACT!

What Does Twitter Have To Do With Micro-blogging?

Micro-blogging is a form of blogging, the main difference is the length of the posts, most of the time it contains shorter sentences and a lot more links. From my perspective micro-blogging is more visually appealing and attracts a lot more viewers. Because we know readers like to scan material and we as writers need to make sure our text is readable with different fonts, bullets, colors and images. Micro-blogging makes it easier to get the message across without unwanted text. Twitter is a form of micro-blogging, because it can convey information and start discussions using less than 200 characters.

Micrco-blogging Can Be Used For Many Different Purposes

It can be broken down into two main divisions for example:

  1. Convey Information: Use micro-blogging as a platform to be informational and let the optimal target auidnce know that your company is a trust worthy, credible and reliable source.
  2. Start A Discussion/ Participate In An Ongoing Conversation: Most micro-blogging goals will be to gain interaction and encourage participation. Once you get consumers interacting, you are utilizing permission marketing, because the user chooses to be engaged.

What are the different types of Tweets on Twitter? Well here are some examples to get you started:
  • The classic tweet- "This is what I'm doing right now."
  • The opinion tweet- "This is what I'm thinking now, they shouldn't have created a movie version of the book.. because."
  • The mission accomplished tweet- "This is what I have accomplished and done so far."
  • The entertainment tweet- "I'm making you giggle now."
  • The question tweet- "Can you help me do something now?"
  • The picture tweet- " Look at this picture and see what I have been doing."

Deciding On What To Tweet For Your Business Twitter?

There is no right number of times you should tweet each day or throughout the week. Focus on the quality of your tweets by using keywords that symbolize what message your trying to give. Make sure the content of your tweets are relevant towards your optimal target audience and show authentic your company is. For example I have extracted information from business.twitter.com that showcase tweets that spark c o n v e r s a t i o n s and keep your audience e n g a g e d! Here are two examples from the site:

1. Incorporate relevant hashtags: Hashtags are like keywords, they highlight the actions viewers need to take from this tweet. The recommendation is using no more than two hashtags per tweet, just like how this Twitter user used only two hashtags.

Since were taking about hashtags I will also add another hyperlink to the twitter help center site. I believe not everyone understands the concept of a hashtag and how to properly input it into your tweet. I believe the term may be new to some people. Therefore I will give everyone a hyperlink to the twitter help center, so they can fully understand how to input a hashtag in your tweet. Here is the url:

2. Ask questions and run polls: Asking open ended questions to your audience will make you an authentic company which is more human like. Because it shows that you care about your consumers opinions and you want to incorporate their needs and wants into your business.

You are becoming more known and create a positive brand image when posting on Twitter and other micro-blogging sites. You are also connection with customers, because the main purpose of micro-blogging is to get interaction and the thread going. You want people to start commenting because it will increase word of mouth and help you understand how your consumers truly feel about a certain product or service. When connection with customers online, it shows that you know how to properly use these sites. Because that is the main goal is to be social. Micro-blogging is a platform which offers continuous support and is very informational. All of This For a Like or Follow- Is Social Networking Worth It?

Social Media Is Taking a Toll On Us!

As well all know a social network site is an online service on which members can establish relationship based on friendship, kinship, shared interests, business advantage and other reasons. Various social media sites will let members build a public or private profile to specify who can connect with them and share their connections with others.

Although, are we using these social media tools like LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram too much? From my personal opinion I understand that we live in a world where socializing with family and forming connections with friends is important. But, people need to understand how to properly use social media in a way that has a balance between your life, social media shouldn't take up your life. For example, I feel users are making connections with people which is great but when chatting on a messenger your not utilizing the proper communication skills like:

  • Face to face communication
  • Taste, feel, touch and smell
  • Body movements and facial expressions
  • Tone of voice
  • Body posture
  • The environment, tone and atmosphere of the room
  • No real life experience
Overall here are some points that I assume are not being used when communicating strictly on the web through a social network site. Making connections with people across the world make it effective and efficient to create brand awareness, help drive sales and formulate better people. Although, forming real-life connections with people in real time, is a lot different and more meaningful.

Did you know that during Dec, 2011 Facebook was #1 and LinkedIn was #2. Facebook had around 700 million monthly visitors and LinkedIn had 100 million monthly visitors. This number has properly tripled in 2016. To be honest, we don't know what the future holds social networking. We don't know if another site will beat Facebook or LinkedIn. Social media is always evolving and changing, because consumers needs and wants are always changing. They are consistently changing social network devices to match the needs and wants of their consumers to keep them satisfied. How Strongly Can Social Media Effect Our Lives?

I know for a fact social network is a strong platform it has become a big part of everyone life's. It gives people a voice and a platform to be heard on. One voice can now become many in a matter of seconds. Blogs and forums are allowing you to share your personal views and experiences to the world. There are now social network sites like allow you to form not only personal connections but professional connections. It can effect our life's if you are on social networking sites for hours a day. Maintaining a healthy balance between social media and personal life should help you prioritize a healthy balance between the two. We know that there are millions of people converting on social media sites, doesn't this hold so much power. We are a very powerful force, if we utilize this power we have on social media to help spread awareness about charities, poverty, women trafficking, low income and more we can make big changes in the world.

Social Networking and Marketing Benefits

There are many advantages to marketing benefits when using social networking. For example, social networking has many advantages to firms because it helps them find talent, build brand awareness, find new customers, and most importantly conduct brand intelligence. The term brand intelligence refers to information business collect about their customers from demographic info to feedback. Social networking can gather the same information like costly market research. They gather general sentiments, opinions and customer needs. For example, when a company like Burger King wants to change up their brand and company logo to a different symbol. They will want to do research and use social networking by monitoring what the consumers input is, positive, mutual or negative. They will monitor by creating voting polls, for example on Facebook they can ask their active followers to complete a poll to get a discount coupon for a meal, the only thing they need to do is enter their information like email, phone number, name and etc. By doing this, the company will conduct better research to see if they will have positive results to further continue with their logo change. If they have negative comments this will help them understand what they need to improve on or if they should stick with their old logo. Knowing and monitoring what the consumers have to say will help predict and help steer any company in the right direction. You want to utilize all these social networks because it will help you create brand intelligence which is they key point of social networking and will help you align with your marketing objectives to get profit, brand awareness, build credibility and trust.

Overall, what do my fellow bloggers think? Is social media interrupting our daily lives? Is there a proper way to use a social network? Are people misusing social networking?

Cabbage Patch Kids? No Wait. I Mean.. Garbage Pail Kids!

Do You Remember The Excitement Of Trading & Collecting

G a r b a g e  P a i l   K i d s ?

Garbage pail kids are a series of trading cards which were produced by the Topps Company which was originally released in 1985 and was designed around the parody of the hit popular Cabbage Patch Kids dolls. There names are very different almost complete opposites, which made me think why the Topps Company designed it this way. Here are some interesting facts about garbage pail kids:
  • Several schools had banned the stickers/ trading cards in the 80's because they were too much of a distraction in classrooms.
  • The company Topps were known for making baseball and football stickers
  • There were two versions of each card an A & B with the same artwork but different name for the character
  • The stickers came with bubblegum
  • The designs became popular choice for tattoos
To learn about the decline in sales of the stickers which caused it to be discontinued after December 1988 check out this URL which shows lots of interesting facts and is a great platform for sharing pictures:

Photo sharing:
The purpose of this blog post is to show you bloggers how you can utilize different photo sharing sites to spark interest in the comment section to help promote buzz. Most photo sharing sites create albums and galleries where visitors can view the pictures. You can tag photos with descriptive key words by what the topic the photo is which will make it a lot easier to locate any graphic photo. I will be sharing a powerful image from the garbage pail kids and explain what kind of effect it has, does it spark interest and how this photo generates leads and drives traffic.

PHOTO:

How Does Bloggy Bobby Align With Marketing Purposes?

Here is an example of a photo from Garbage Pail Kids with a character called Bloggy Bobby! To see where I got this photo check out this site
http://thehundreds.com/blog/the-hundreds-topps-garbage-pail-kids-bloggy-bobby/

How does this photo align with marketing purposes. There are many photo sharing sites for garbage pail kids which I will link further on in this blog. These photo sharing sites function like social networks. Many people were active and connecting with each other and the company with this brand, because it sparked interest, the pictures were intriguing and were unusual. They were collectibles, which showed how there was a benefit of getting these collectibles and they were conversation starters. These photos connected social communities because they were interacting with each other making meaningful comments on many pictures. This site shows the owner sharing a bunch of garbage pail kids and there is a lot of interaction in the comment section so take a look :

URL:

These pictures sparked interest because they were different. They were disturbing yet so interesting. They portrayed alternate situations and sometimes represented real people alternating them into garbage pail kids. This photo was based  to influence buyer mood which generated interest, online buzz and lead to sales. It generated interest because the pictures were eye-catching, you couldn't miss it. They incorporated high contrasting bright colors with a disturbing character in the center with a catchy title. The catchy title in this photo is bloggy bobby. Both words starting with B, and behind the buzz word has a lot of meaning. It influenced buyer mood because of how popular it was. Everyone was taking about garbage pail kids, people wanted to keep included in conversations during school. People were interested in the company background, and other characters they had. They left consumers wanting more and since they were collectibles it gave them something to keep and create memories with. It also influenced buyer mood because the characters it relate to any individual, you may have a favorite character for example bloggy bobby may have related to individuals who like to blog. The were curious and interested why they incorporated blogging in this photo. Therefore they will do research of the company which will influence buyer mood to purchase the product. For me when I saw this picture I was interested because I wanted to know more. I had lots of questions that sparked my interest in learning more about the brand, the company and the picture. For example some of the questions I had was:
  1. Why did they choose the buzz word Bloggy Bobby?
  2. Is the name Bobby relating to a specific person or figure?
  3. The logo on the laptop is suppose to be Apple?
  4. Are all the gadgets like smart phones, computer, camera and tablet suppose to tell society how these gadgets are controlling us?
  5. Why is Bobby's skin melting and on all the gadgets except for the phone he is taking a photo with?
  6. Are they trying to say all these blogging technology is controlling our real selves and stripping away our true identities and forming us into a different self absorbed individual?
  7. Does this character show how we are creating toxic misrepresentation of us in the social media world?
  8. Is the bomb logo suppose to symbolize a certain company?
Overall, the more I looked at this photo I was more interested in learning more because this photo sparked a lot of interest because it formulated a lot of questions for me. The company values and social presence represented in this photo. Lots of consumers may have a positive effect or negative effect on this photo. For me, it showed the truth about whats happening to individuals who spend too much time on social media. Although, there could be a potential risk in this photo because it has such a strong meaning behind it that some people may disagree with.

This photo did generate leads because many of these sites that share these photos need the individuals email address, username, or have alerts to become members of a particular site. Once someone sees this photo they will want to learn more, therefore they will go on the site. Once on the site they will be exposed to the comment section which will show the garbage pail kids society communicating with each other and show other pictures and more information about the company and brand.

So Did You Find This Photo Interesting? It Did Grab Your Attention?

A Day In A Life Of A Budgie

This Is Dedicated To All My Pet Lovers!

Hey pet lovers, I'm a proud owner of two budgies. I've had them for roughly around three years, its been a great experience because having two  budgies made me realize how intelligent they are and that they make such loving companions. If you are a budgie owner or are interested in getting a budgie as a pet I suggest you view my video. This video shows a day in a life of my two budgies. Hope you enjoy!

VIDEO:

What Was The Purpose Of This Video?

This video was created for us bloggers and myself to understand what it takes to make a video that is meaningful and genuine. I wanted to choose a topic that I was interested about and whats more genuine than showing all of you what my budgies do throughout the day. I strictly showed what both of my budgies like to eat and the treats we feed them. At the beginning of the video my female budgie was playing inside her hut. They also have lots of toys inside their cage, one of them includes a basketball with a hoop. Unfortunately I didn't have footage of that but if you pet lovers would want to see a picture or video, I'll post one! I tried to make this video genuine, because I want to appeal to a audience who has pets or is thinking about getting pets. What kind of pets, well I'm giving you an option of considering budgies. This is a video of them doing their everyday actives. They love to lounge around and sit in perches and high places. They clean moderately 3-4 times a day and love munching on treats. This video was for individuals who want to know what budgies like to do and to get an idea if they are interested in getting budgies.

The purpose of v i d e o   s h a r i n g ?

Video sharing allows users to upload video clips to a website, in this case my blog; that can be viewed publicly or privately. When uploading on these sites users can comment on videos and tag them with key words in order to group comments together. There are many benefits of marketing with online videos for example engaging viewers, larger audiences and showcasing the product. When I created this particular video of my budgies I kept in mind of the acronym A.E.I.O.U.

Authentic- Yes, it showcased my real budgies and their daily routine, it showed my bloggers how my budgies typically act and do on a everyday basis, which will help pet lovers decide if budgies are their pet of choice or not.
Entertaining- Yes, the video had background music and different clips of them doing different things. It wasn't a two minute video both my budgies just in their cage, it was an engaging two minute video of them doing different things with background music that set the tone and kept the audience engaged.
Intimate- It was intimate because it showcased the truth of having budgies and it wasn't falsely advertised. It displayed the message that we don't just keep our birds locked up in the cage everyday, we let them out and let them fly around. There is also two budgies, which shows they are never lonely because they have each other. They are healthy because we feed them proper food, vitamin water, bird bath spray and give them baths regularly. It shows a message to all pet lovers that you need to properly take care of any pet and make sure its healthy and happy. It creates a connection with pet lovers, because when they see this video they automatically think of their own budgies.
Offbeat & Unsual
The video was unusual because it just showed a montage of different video clips that were entertaining to watch.  We understand that audiences have short attention spans, therefore I tired to make this video as engaging as possible with cute clips, background music and voice overs. The graph on the right, shows the audience attention span from 5 min- 10 sec. It shows how the longer the time of the video the lesser the audience gets. As a result, it shows how people have very short attention spans and people making videos should learn what interests viewers and what they truly want to see. To learn more take a look at this

URL:
http://blog.treepodia.com/2010/03/at-60-seconds-more-than-half-your-audience-is-gone/

Did The Video Focus On The C o n t e n t ?

Yes, the video focused on the content at all times. My purpose of the video was to show individuals 18-35 with pets preferably budgies or interested in getting budgies. To show these individuals that this is what budgies do on a daily basis, and hope this video sparks their interest in getting one. Because lots of budgies need loving homes, they are in need of a welcoming warm home filled with love and care. With this two minute video about my birds, it will attract the necessary audience to help generate views, comments and shares. Since my video is about budgies please refer to this link which is the SPCA website about budgies and birds.

URL:  http://www.spca.bc.ca/pet-care/care-behaviour/birds/?referrer=https://www.google.ca/

Did It Promote The C h a n n e l ?

Yes, it promoted the channel because it incorporated digital technology like sharing videos with a unique topic that was genuine because it let you into my personal life and when I'm not blogging I'm taking care of my budgies. I let my bloggers create a personal connection with by showing my pets in a video. It incorporated video sharing techniques too because now I know what it takes to create a video and how to drive traffic and comments and to spark interest using a video.

Will I Update F r e q u e n t l y ?

Although I have to mention that I will not be updating frequently with videos about my budgies because this was a class project. I was assigned to upload a video and learn how to proerly edit and format a video and upload it on a site to drive traffic and spark interest in the comment section. Therefore no I will not be updating frequently, although if you would like to see certain pictures of my budgies I can send them!

Keeping up with a n a l y t i c s ?

Yes, this site blogger has great tools to keep track of who is viewing my channel and videos as well as where there demographic region is. I will use that tool to help track the viewers on my video and if in the future I decide to upload a video for school purposes, work purposes or my my personal reasons I will defiantly take what I learned and make my videos more tailored and engaging to my viewers. Here is a pie chart of the different video sharing cites. Facebook is one of the main generating about 24.0% and Bebo with 3.1 %. It shows how all these video sharing sites are targeting towards specific niches. I made sure my video was tailored to a specific target audience and made sure the website blogger help me keep with the analytic.

Did you enjoy the video?

I hope you all enjoyed the video I created with my two lovely budgies. I hope it sparked interest for any of you who want to get budgies in the future. Do you think I could have designed my video in a different way to help attract a larger audience? This there anything I need to improve on in the video? If I was making another video in the future what are some particular things I would need to work on? Anyways I just let out some questions for thought, if you have any comments or questions feel free to post them up in the comment section!

Thank you so much! Stay tuned for my next post it will be about sharing photos!

An Incredible & Credible Source, Are White Papers For You?

Background Information For You To Think About!

Before you start creating your technical white paper document, you should understand what a white paper is and the purpose it serves. A white paper is written for a business audience which defines a problem and offers a solution. These type of papers don't pitch a particular product or company. Marketing messages are uncommon in white papers. It is expected to have at least six pages of text and to provide informative information that is useful about a business or technical issue. A white paper should have sources, facts and figures. The purpose of white papers are intended for the reader to review before making a purchase. Creating white papers involves hard work. lots of practice and strong writing skills. In this blog post, I will be writing how white papers are an incredible and credible source, at the end of this post you to figure out if white papers are for you!

Heading: What Does A Niche Have To Do With White Papers?

You need to know and identify the niche for your white paper. According to White Paper Blog they state how focusing on one specific niche will "help you gain a lot of knowledge on one subject and improve your general expertise, as you will be concentrating on that subject alone."

"If you want to learn about the disadvantages about focusing on one niche" take a look, here is the

 URL: http://imittcopy.com/Thewhitepaperblog/should-you-focus-on-a-white-paper-writing-niche/

When targeting a niche, it helps formulate the overall white paper. It gives you an outline of what you need to write and gives you an idea of how you can target your optimal audience with this white paper. For example my niche would be to focus on the nine main steps for writing white papers, understanding how a white paper is formed with these nine steps will help you understand how this is a incredible and credible source. The nine steps are assess needs, plan, acquire information, organize content, design the look and feel, write, illustrate, review, revise, and approve and publish.

Heading: Pick A Title That Catches Your Attention

The first step you need to do is to create a catchy title. For example on yourwhitepaper.com they state how "an attention grabbing title will clearly communicate the problem you are solving and is appropriate for your target audience." For more information about the the title and outline for white papers take a look at this link
URL: http://www.yourwhitepaper.com/whitepaperstructure.htm
According from what they said about titles, it clearly reflects how important the title is for a white paper. Most importantly, white papers are credible because the title is never misleading. A title for a white paper represents the statement of purpose. It is a promise to the readers the title of your white paper will be the main underlying purpose of body of your paper. The tittle for my blog post is "An Incredible & Credible Source, Are White Papers For You?" Therefore my body will have an exploitation of what what papers are and how these topics are credible and at the end you can decide if white papers are meant for you.

A white paper is a incredible and credible source because it pays close attention to these nine steps

Subheading: You Need To Access Needs Having a clear vision of the goals is the first step. The goal for this blog would be to educate the public and draw attention from my tittle, content and overall look to develop my blogs reputation that white papers are for you, because its an incredible and credible source. From this, you need to understand the audience. What are there characteristics, identify different segments and behavior type. Deciding on what type of audience you want for your white paper will help you construct what your going to write.

Subheading: Planning Is Important Understanding the outcome after your paper is finished is important. Ask yourself how the paper will be integrated into the sales process and how to paper is going to be distributed. It requires a lot of hard work like research, writing, illustration, editing and review. Have a rough figure for the time and resources that will be needed to complete. Planning a white paper is hard work, although, the outcome is extraordinary. Because it turns out to be such a credible source with facts, figures and information that is reliable and trust worthy.

Subheading: Acquire Lots of Credible Information This is the main point to my blog post. The information in a white paper is credible because the knowledge is from gathering, reading, and researching secondary sources or expertise views from knowledgeable and credible people. Interviews can also be used to get relevant knowledge about a particular topic.

Subheading: Organize In a Way Which Attracts Your Viewers Now that you have figured out the optimal target audience, planned and acquired relevant credible information, you can now organize the content. You need to organize the information in a way that is visually appealing. Remember a white paper is six pages long, you want to keep the reader interested the whole time. Organizing and formatting is important, if you have poor organization the good credible sources you have accumulated wont matter because your paper lacks organized content. You can organize the paper with main headings, subheadings, and subgroups. Having a organized paper will help you and the readers and will make the information easier to comprehend.

Subheading: Design The Look and Feel To Make It A Trusted Source

Make it scan-able, most readers will not go word by word in a white paper. Since individuals like to scan over the text make sure there are headings, visual aids and short paragraphs. Even though white papers contain a lot of information they should still be visually appealing to the reader.
Stampede design shows how red circles in this figure below are related to other red circles and black circles are related to the other black circles due to the similarity in color. Therefore red and black circles are seen as dissimilar to each other even though they're all circles. This shows an example of how we see headings in a paper. Headings that have the same font size, text and formatting are similar to each other. An subheadings that have the same font size, text and formatting are similar to each other. Therefore, headings and subheadings are dissimilar to each other, although they all relate back to the main goal of the white paper. To learn more about "how people don't read, they scan" refer to this URL: http://www.stampede-design.com/blog/2014/07/people-dont-read-they-scan/#.Vz1KaPkrK70

Subheading: Write & Illustrate

Writing white papers are educational but there should also be technical elements combined with interesting content. To inspire increase brand image and positive reputation white papers have to talk beyond technical topics. You also want to be viewed as an authentic paper, not just a robot factual paper. Include some inspirational thoughts that encourage action and incite from the readers. Make sure the jargon is understood and simple, you want to make sure your audience understands the terminology you are taking about. Especially if there is secondary research involved, if you use information that a expert in a field was taking about make sure you explain what he/she is talking about. Keep it direct, and simple. Viewers will want the paper to be readable, scan-able, and flexible. Always illustrate complicated material, especially when there is secondary sources involved. Illustrate to point you are trying to explain using visuals, pictures and graphics to help support your information and keep the audience engaged. It will reflect how the white paper was well thought out and made with great detail and consideration to the audience needs.

Subheading: Review, Revise and Approve

Reviewing, revising and approving are important steps because this shows how your paper passed all these steps by the approval of experts in the field or people interviewed in your paper. This clearly shows how white papers are a credible source. This process encourages constructive criticism because reviewers can catch factual errors or correct imprecise explanations. This will help create improvements for the final draft.

Subheading: Publish Your White Paper To Educate People About Your Topic

When publishing the white paper, you will check the final output to ensure it matches the requirements. You can publish electronically or print version. When you publish your content will be open to the public of your target audience. You must be prepared and ready for any negative feedback and you should always stand by your content. Be open for criticism, therefore you can to better and bigger things on the next white paper you decide to create. Knowing that most of the white paper consists of facts and information from experts in a particular field, there will be people who disagree with the certain statements they make. You need to act promptly and learn how to measure the success with this white paper so you can make changes and improvements on the next one.

Heading: How Using White Papers Aligns With a Companies Marketing Purposes

The ultimate goal for a white paper is to draw attention and develop a company's reputation for thought leadership and use that expertise to generate leads and sales. A white paper should never be perceived as a marketing pitch. The white paper is a informational paper filled with credible and trust worthy information from experts. Introducing Webinars: An Effective Low-Cost Marketing Solution to Your Business

WEBINARS

A webinar is also referred to as the term teleseminar, which is a seminar that is conducted live over the world wide web and is designed to be interactive. If you didn't know the term "webinar" was coined from the phrase "web-based seminar." Most webinars contain a visual aspect for example a live- stream video or slide show presentation. Although these visual tools require scheduling prior in advance to ensure people can make time to participate. To attend a webinar, the listener can call a phone number that will be given or have a choice to listen live on a computer's speakers by getting access to the webinar through the internet. Overall, the details and specifics all depend on how the webinar is set up and organized by the host. All webinars are live experiences, therefore, its important to post and promote the date and time that the webinar will take place. The duration of a webinar is one to two hours. Quite often webinars will be free but some companies may charge a fee to attend.

Overall webinars software was recently very costly and not very reliable with the large number of participants involved. Although, now companies offer different webinar services like Connect Pro, WebEx and ILinc. Webinars has evolved drastically over the past years. More businesses are utilizing this type of social media technology. Its an effective low cost marketing solution to get people engaged and to promote interaction.

Four Steps on How to Set Up a Free to Low-Cost Webinar Site:

  1. Firstly, select the right free to low-cost webinar service site to best cater to your business.
  2. Secondly, decide where to host the webinar and consider number attendees, visual content, and the frequency with which the webinar is held.
  3. Thirdly, decide if your going to have visual content and if it will be necessary to have a website host the webinar rather than using a conference call system.
  4.  Fourthly, establish the frequency with which the webinar will be held. This will help determine if its better to pay a monthly subscription fee or a one-time webinar fee.

List of Technical Details to Pay Attention to:

  • Include multiple choice questions (polls) for attendees to answer during webinar.
  • Create an outline for the webinar which includes, host name, email, company, webinar tittle, date, time re occurrence information and category.
  • Promote the webinar on other social media channels like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram just to name a few.

Companies Who Use Webinars:

1. LUMEDX

"The accessibility of these webcasts has made a significant difference in our ability to engage with high-level management at healthcare facilities."

                                              - Randy Lasnick, Director of Marketing

This company uses the webinar site called WebEx, to help build awareness of their cardiovascular information and imaging system products. Lumedx uses Cisco WebEx event center to help deliver webcasts that drive lead generation campaigns. By using this webinar software, the company gained a competitive edge with larger companies and increased their contacts with over 500 clients.

2. The Food Group

"We can now offer webcast production services to our customers.. By turning to WebEx, we've established a completely new business channel."

                                             - Kyle Kraus, Managing Director

The food group company also uses the webinar service called WebEx, to meet diverse needs for web-based meetings and events. WebEx allowed this company to deliver rich-media presentations, increase capacity to produce customer web events and facilitate staff. By using WebEx as one of their social media technology tools they tripled their number of webcasts produced for customers. Created a profitable web event production and cut travel costs while improving productivity and responsiveness.

My Evaluation of Using Webinars for Marketing Purposes

Overall, Webinars from my perspective is a low-cost marketing tool that can be used for any company to create a format for training sessions and to share information. Companies have created webinar tools like WebEx and Connect Pro to help make it convenient and cost effective to do webinars. Its a great tool because this platform has the ability to gather an audience in a seminar-type format without anyone needing to travel. Another benefit would be that the audience can ask questions any time during the webinar and get answers immediately. It aligns with marketing objectives because companies use webinars as a strategy to build a audience and to be niche and specific. This  can also be an effective measurable tool, especially if the webinar is popular; it can accumulate a large amount of data to reach the target audience. In conclusion, webinars are a useful tool to use because it has an interactive approach for learning and collaboration.

What Are Your thoughts?

After reading this post, what do you think? Are webinars an effective digital technology tool for companies to use? Are webinars too costly and require a lot of planning and collaboration beforehand? Should companies use podcasts as their tool because it can be accessed many months after its been recorded and participants can listen to the file at their leisure. In conclusion, to wrap up this post, I'm going to leave the comment section open for discussion. Please stay tuned for my next blog post!
